This event ran over the weekend of the 5th and 6th of November. Over 55 expert fly tiers from all over the world attended...my mind was blown!
I did a talk on both days on the yellowfishes of Southern Africa as well as a radio interview on the national BBC Radio fishing programme on the morning of the first day. The presentations were a great success with standing room only, a number of people who heard the radio interview came to the Fair and attended my talk. Quite a few of the people who attended the talk subsequently visited me at my tying station where we spoke further about yellowfish and fishing in Southern Africa generally.
Over the 2 days I demonstrated a number of patterns used on yellowfish from super realistic to imitative... I had a lot of fun and met some amazing people!
